Dan McGreevy has been licensed to practice law for over thirty years, and currently limits his practice to Estate Planning, Property Law, some areas of Family Law, Judge and Court Commissioner Pro Tempore.
Dan moved to Whatcom County in 1994, and was awarded the public defender services contract to provide professional legal services for indigent defendants in Bellingham Municipal Court five years later. His work has provided a mature and well-rounded perspective allowing for well-reasoned advice to be given regarding the consequences of decisions or courses of action decided upon by clients. Not only a capable point of contact for clients, Dan additionally has extensive experience in criminal defense, personnel, and as a director of organizations. He served a term as president and was on the Board of Directors of Washington Defender Association, an organization that delivers public defense services with over 1,400 attorney members for approximately 14 years. Dan is a well-respected member of the Washington legal community.
Over the years, Dan has collected a myriad of experiences, from studying Italian Prison systems while a student in Florence, Italy to learning Marshallese while serving in the Peace Corps. He now lives a stone’s throw from historic Fairhaven. Dan’s combined legal and life experiences exceptionally qualify him as the ideal attorney for every client.
